As a young photographer I spent a lot of time seated looking at a computer screen making adjustments to the images that I had created and learning about the editing process.

I deal with chronic pain in my hip and lower back and I often need to take significant breaks from such intensive activity. In February 2020 I decided to take a trip to Manila. I’d be recently turned on to street photography and a 10 day trip wondering the streets was exactly what I wanted to do. I was on my feet all day, shooting black and white film. I photographed everything on a small point and shoot camera. My intention was to visit places I wouldn’t normally spend time - slums, emergency zones, higher risk areas. Here are the results.
